About Us!

Al Huda started off with one mission, that is “Qur’an for all, in every hand, in every heart.” At Al Huda Secondary School, our vision is to take this mission forward with our secondary students through an integrated Journey Through The Qur’an Program, while instilling values to build strong character while they attain their credits for their OSSD.

Qur’an

Our primary focus is connecting students to the Qur’an through an exclusively designed “Journey through the Qur’an” program available only to our Al Huda Secondary students. This is a multi-year Qur’anic Studies program that is integrated within the school curriculum. It gives our students an opportunity to complete the Qur’an cover-to-cover, along with learning recitation, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)’s sirah, arabic modules, and much more, while completing their other courses needed for their OSSD.

Character

Our emphasis is the continual Tarbiyah of our students in a strong Islamic environment within and outside the classroom settings. The class sizes are small that allow our teachers to give special attention to each student. The tarbiyah extends beyond the classrooms through reflective field trips whether they are academic or leisure.

Academic Excellence

Our qualified instructors provide rigorous academic training as the students grow into adults, while preparing them for University, college or whatever pursuits they want.

We offer all standard courses that are required to attain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), according to the Ministry of Education. Elective course(s) are offered based on student interest and feasibility of resources.

FAQ’s

Will you have grades 11 and 12?

We plan to introduce grade 11 in the 2026-2027 academic year and grade 12 in the 2027-2028 academic year, establishing a complete secondary school program covering grades 9 through 12, in sha Allah. For the year 2025 – 2026, we will only offer grades 9 and 10.

Will the classes be segregated for boys and girls?

Our intention is to have segregated classes for boys and girls, however the number of sections per grade will be determined based on number of student enrolled. If the number of students enrolled are lower then expected then classes will be combined to make the best use of limited resources. We will continue to remain mindful of segregation where ever possible (i.e., classrooms, field trips, etc).

Will you remain at your current location or have a new site?

Our plan is to have a new location ready for next year and we have been actively searching for multiple locations that serve the secondary school need. We will keep parents in close communication and work with the families to ensure that the location is feasible for them, and that it meets our needs to deliver exceptional education to our students.
